LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS – Thursday, 1st May 2025

Local councillors represent the interests of their communities and the well-being of the residents in their town or parish, safeguarding local services and assets which are important to them.

Every four years all the members of the Parish Council stand down; they may stand for re-election of they so choose. Election time is your opportunity to get involved, become a councillor and contribute towards community well-being and provision of local services.

If you are 18 or over, a citizen of the United Kingdom, a qualifying member of the Commonwealth or the European Union, you are an elector in, work in, live in or live within three miles of the parish of Cockshutt cum Petton you are eligible to stand for election to your Parish Council.
