Rural Watch
The Police in Shropshire, Rural and Business crime team, based in Shrewsbury are keen to hear from any residents who may be interested in starting a rural watch in their local area.
Statement:
“As a team we have assisted in setting up a number of watches across the county, these have resulted in greater communication between residents when it comes to sharing real time, relevant information regarding suspicious behaviour.
We can offer assistance and advice in starting a Rural Watch and can provide free signage advertising that your community is a watch area.
Since the police service was founded we have always relied on the assistance from members of the public to prevent and detect crime, this is more relevant in our rural communities.”
